Maurice Hines, choreographer

Maurice Hines is a star of stage, screen and television. His extensive performance credits include on Broadway and on tour in productions such as Guys and Dolls, Eubie!, Bring Back Birdie, Sophisticated Ladies and Jelly's Last Jam and in the Coppola film "The Cotton Club." He conceived, directed and choreographed Uptown...It's Hot! and has directed and choreographed for Satchmo, Havana Night, The Red Shoes, Harlem Suite including a starring role, and a Quincy Jones music video. Mr. Hines is the first African-American director of the Radio City Spectacular. Mr. Hines is in pre-production for Yo Alice, a new urban hip-hop fantasy he conceived and will direct and choreograph as a film and live production. His critically acclaimed jazz albums "Maurice: I've Never Been In Love Before" and "To Nat 'King' Cole With Love" are on the Arbors label.
