This division of students has the greatest potential for securing technical strengths, musical sensitivity and artistic awareness. The varied curriculum and progression of levels allows for the development of a strong, versatile dancer.

BALLET
Enjoy the study of ballet in a carefully codified system incorporating barre, centre and special exercise. Methodology that stresses a healthful approach to all the work provides the basis for the training process.

A standard schedule is available for those who wish to maintain dance training with a limited time commitment. Students choosing this program may take a minimum of 2 ballet technique classes per week through Level 3 and 3 per week at Level 4 and above.

MODERN
Discover movement that is more "grounded" in nature. Experience the release of weight into and out of the floor while shifting off vertical positions. Mobility of the back, employing a three-dimensional usage of the spine, is a key element in this dance form.

A blending of the smooth elements of modern with the joyful electricity of jazz.

PILATES MAT WORK

This class focuses on precise movements with few repetitions, creating a lean, flexible, powerful body and a focused mind. Ages 13 and up.

Urban self-expression using the three basic movements of hip-hop: boying, popping and locking. Ages 12 and up.

BALLROOM

Learn the basic techniques required for several styles of ballroom dance. The first week of every month begins a journey into a new dance. For 13 year olds.

FLAMENCO
Blend exciting rhythms, grace and passion in the Spanish dance of Flamenco. Students will learn basic posture, footwork and rhythm.

YOGA
This class introduces students to basic breathing, simple alignment principles and yoga postures and technique. This class will be a blending of physical conditioning and self-discovery. No experience necessary. Yoga mat required.

POWER MOVERS
For boys 8 to 11. Run! Jump! Stretch! A class especially designed with lots of energy and movement. Concentrations will be for overall strength, flexibility and coordination to make the most of the movement sports and other activities include.
