Company Traineeships are offered to individual dancers by Gerard Charles, Artistic Director. They are selected from Company auditions, the Summer Intensive Program, and individual video auditions. Each Trainee receives a stipend and is contracted to BalletMet for 36 weeks. Our goal is not only to give Trainees experience of dancing with the Company but also to continue their training both artistically and academically by preparing them for professional life.

Trainees have their own classes three days a week and take company class twice a week. When cast with the Company they will participate with the Company in all required rehearsals and performances. When not dancing with the Company, Trainees participate in the Pre-Professional Academic Program and in Academy evening classes. Afternoon and evening schedules are designed on an individual basis depending on Trainees' personal needs.
