Wiggle Jig for Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder
Creative and fun dancing becomes a powerful learning experience for children as youngsters wiggle, glide, leap and twirl while developing motor skills, socio-emotional behavior, cultural literacy and critical thinking.
Taught by experienced teachers, this course specializes in creating fun, directed opportunities for movement and expression and is adapted to the specific needs of the dancers.
In collaboration with Nationwide Children’s Hospital, this 6-week program is designed for children in kindergarten-eighth grade who have been diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Every 45 minute session is guided by a weekly theme, beginning with 15 minutes of warm-up play time and continuing with 30 minutes of fun movement activities.
