When will I get the results of my audition?

Audition results are emailed. A response is given within two weeks of the audition date.

Will we get additional information about Summer Intensive?

There are additional forms and information that are password protected and hosted on our website. That information is provided once we receive the student’s registration and deposits.

What time are classes?

Classes are generally scheduled between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. There are also half-day classes on select Saturdays.

How many students are in the program/class?

Generally, there are between 130-140 students with approximately 25 per level.

Do you offer partnering?

Partnering class is offered at the upper levels.

Is there a performance at the end of the Summer Intensive?

On the last day of class there will be an opportunity to observe classes as well as a showing in our Performance Space. Two showings are scheduled for this day, with the last one ending by 4 p.m.

Where are the out of town students housed?

Out-of-town students are housed at the Schottenstein Residence Hall at the Columbus College of Art and Design. For 2017, the move in day is Sunday, June 25 beginning at noon.  Check out is Friday, July 28 by 6pm. More info: www.ccad.edu

What is included in the room and board?

For 2017, all meals beginning June 26 through July 28 are included. Dinner on move-in day, Sunday, June 25, is not included, although historically there is food available for purchase at the CCAD Dining Hall.

How are dorm students transported to and from the studios?

Students walk in groups with chaperones and CCAD security escorts from the residence hall to the studios and back. In the event of inclement weather, students are shuttled between locations.

Are there outings?

Yes, we have outings to area attractions, as well as optional evening shuttles to Target and local grocery stores. Examples of past outings include: Columbus Crew soccer game, swimming, Picnic with the Pops and fireworks with the Columbus Symphony Orchestra and visits to the historic Ohio Theatre and the Columbus Museum of Art. There is an activity fee of $100 and all dorm students are encouraged to participate.

How many in a room?

There are two students per room and two rooms per suite.

What are the ages of students in the dorms?

Students ages 12 to 23 may be housed in the dorm. Students ages 12 and 13 may request host housing based on host housing availability. Students age 18 to 23 may also contract for their own housing outside of the dorms. Students age 18-23 that reside in the dorm will be expected to follow the same guidelines as the younger students.
