Carly Wheaton

CARLY WHEATON is from Marin County, Calif., where she trained with Stapleton Ballet School, Marin Ballet and San Francisco Ballet School. Ms. Wheaton danced with Ballet Memphis and The Washington Ballet prior to joining BalletMet in 2015. She has had the pleasure of working with choreographers Val Caniparoli, Matthew Neenan, Andi Schermoly, Ma Cong, Michael Pink, Septime Webre, Gustavo Ramirez Sansano, James Kudelka, and Edwaard Liang. Throughout her career, Ms. Wheaton has enjoyed performing roles such as Giselle in Edwaard Liang’s, as Cinderella in Edwaard Liang’s Cinderella, as Wendy in Michael Pink’s Peter Pan, in Jerome Robins’ Interplay, and as the Russian Girl in George Balanchine’s Serenade. In 2016, Ms. Wheaton participated in the Emmy Award-winning production of Becoming Violet, a dance film directed by Steven Weinzierl and choreographed by Edwaard Liang. This is Ms. Wheaton’s seventh season with BalletMet.
