Sue Dowdy

Accompanist

Sue Dowdy has played for Ballet Met for 13 years and currently serves as an accompanist for both the Academy and Education departments. She received her Bachelor of Music Education from Capital University and her Master of Arts in Music Education from The Ohio State University. She is retired from Gahanna Jefferson Schools, where she taught elementary general music, music history and musical theatre. Mrs. Dowdy also served as the accompanist for the Gahanna Lincoln High School choral and theatre programs, accompanist for soloists and choirs at The Ohio Music Education Association adjudicated events, and staff accompanist at Otterbein University. She currently serves as adjunct faculty at Otterbein and Capital Universities, where she supervises student teachers and field placement students in elementary general and secondary choral music.
