Join us under the sea for an enchanting tale of the sea king’s court, the jealousy of the evil sea witch, and the tenderness of young love. This new ballet by two-time Tony Award® nominee Lynne Taylor-Corbett based on Hans Christian Andersen’s enduring classic is sure to become a ballet classic.
Meet the Choreographer
Lynne Taylor-Corbett is a two-time Tony Award nominee for Broadway's Swing!, for which she also received a Drama Desk nomination. Her other Broadway credits as choreographer include the musicals Chess and Titanic. Ms. Taylor-Corbett’s dance works have been performed by American Ballet Theatre, New York City Ballet, Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre, Pacific Northwest Ballet, BalletMet and Carolina Ballet where she is the resident guest choreographer. Her feature films include "Footloose," "My Blue Heaven" and "Bewitched." She has directed numerous shows and benefits including The Hunger Project and Good Housekeeping's event for The National Women's History Museum with Meryl Streep. Last season, New York City Ballet performed her "Seven Deadly Sins" starring Patti LuPone in their winter season. Upcoming, she will be work-shopping a show she is writing with her son, actor Shaun Taylor-Corbett. Ms. Taylor-Corbett was most recently represented Off-Broadway with Cougar: The Musical.
