Darian Kane is from northern California and began dancing when she was 7. She has trained under the artistic direction of Stuart Carroll and Sharon Newton at Capitol Ballet Center in Sacramento and was a member of their studio company. During this time, she had principal roles including the Sugar Plum Fairy, Black Swan, Swanhilda and Kathi from Markitenka. She also danced the roles of Clara and Arabian in The Nutcracker and the White Rabbit in Alice in Wonderland. Ms. Kane has attended summer intensives with Boston Ballet, Capitol Ballet Center, Ballet Hawaii and was on scholarship for three years at Marin Dance Theatre with Margaret Swarthout.
