Jarrett Reimers began dancing at the age of 5 at The Donna Lee Studio of Dance. He began supplementing his ballet training with classes and coaching from Mariana Alvarez at the Thomas Armour Youth Ballet in 2008.
Mr. Reimers joined the Sacramento Ballet in 2012 and enjoyed dancing roles in Trey McIntyre’s Wild Sweet Love, Balanchine’s Western Symphony and Ron Cunningham’s The Great Gatsby.
In 2014, he joined BalletMet and since then has danced in works such as Gustavo Sansano’s Carmen.maquia, Edwaard Liang’s Distant Cries and Christopher Wheeldon’s Fool’s Paradise.
He was awarded an Emmy in 2017 for his performance in Becoming Violet. He is also an avid cook, winning BalletMet’s Chili Cookoff for three years running.
