Kristie Latham Company Dancer

Company Member Since 2013 | From Bethlehem, Pa.

Favorite book: Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice. I’ve always loved period pieces.

Surprising fact: When not dancing, I design websites for small businesses. It’s a really great outlet for me to still be creative and meet other creative and inspiring individuals.

Kristie Latham trained at The Rock School for Dance Education under the direction of Bo and Stephanie Spassoff.  She received a full merit scholarship from 2004 to 2008. She also trained at the Pennsylvania Youth Ballet under the direction of Oleg Briansky and Mirelle Briane.

In 2010, Ms. Latham was a trainee with BalletMet before accepting an apprenticeship with Ballet Memphis in 2011, then became a soloist with Ballet Next before returning to BalletMet in 2013.

She has enjoyed performing such roles as Aurora in Marius Petipa’s The Sleeping Beauty grand pas de deux, Edwaard Liang’s Wunderland, the Sugar Plum Fairy in The Nutcracker, the Lilac Fairy in Edwaard Liang’s Sleeping Beauty and “Man I Love” in George Balanchine’s Who Cares?

She has also enjoyed working with choreographers such as Matthew Neenan, Gustavo Ramirez Sansano, Christopher Wheeldon, Margo Sappington, Mauro Bigonzetti and James Kudelka.  In 2007, she was a Top 12 Finalist in the Youth America Grand Prix Finals held in New York City.
