TyLeigh Baughman, born and raised in Sand Springs, Oklahoma, recieved her training at Tulsa Ballet’s Center for Dance Education. She trained with Pia Russo, Stephanie Murish, Daniil Gaifullin, Liudmilla Polonskaya, and Sarkis Kaltakchian. She danced with Tulsa Ballet II for two years then was promoted into the main company for the 2017-2018 season as the first person to be hired from the school. She has performed in various full length ballets such as the North American Premiere of Derek Deane’s “Strictly Gershwin”, Anne Marie Holmes’s “Don Quixote”, George Balanchine’s “Serenade”, Marcello Angelini’s “Swan Lake” and has danced as The Summer Fairy in Ben Stevenson’s “Cinderella”. She has worked with world renowned choreographers such as Ma Cong, Helen Pickett, and Annabelle Lopez Ochoa, and has performed on tour at The Joyce Theater in New York City. She has also performed in Edwaard Liang’s “Romeo and Juliet” and the World Premiere of Liang’s “Dorothy and the Prince of Oz”. This is TyLeigh’s first season with Ballet Met.
