Miguel Wansing Lorrio

Miguel Wansing Lorrio was born in Bergisch Gladbach, Germany and began his dance education at the age of eleven at the Dance Academy of Cologne. He attended the School of Hamburg Ballet John Neumeier from 2015-2020 where he danced his first professional role of Sebastian in John Neumeier’s Romeo and Juliet at age 14. During his time as a student he also trained with the Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis School at American Ballet Theatre as a guest student and received a scholarship for gifted students from the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung in Berlin.

Acting is also a passion for Mr. Wansing Lorrio who was a child actor before and during his early years of dance. He appeared in several productions for movies and television and would like to return to acting as some point in his career. Prior to joining BalletMet, Mr. Wansing Lorrio was with the Hamburg Ballet where he danced roles as Young Ashenbach in Death in Venice and Gardener In A Midsummer Night’s Dream. The 2022/2023 season was his first with BalletMet.
