Arielle Friedman began her training at the age of 3 at Ballet Academy East (BAE) under the direction of Darla Hoover. She began performing at the age of 7 and, over the years, has performed the principal roles in La Source, Tarantella, Sleeping Beauty and Walpurgisnacht. She has worked with choreographers such as David Morse, Emery Lecrone, Rex Wheeler, Alan Hineline, Margo Sappington and Lazlo Berdo. Ms. Friedman has also attended the Miami City Ballet summer program, the Boston Ballet summer program and Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet summer program. She graduated from BAE in May 2014 and joined BalletMet 2 for its 2014-15 season. Ms. Friedman joined the main company for their 2015-16 season. During her first year in the company, she performed the role of Clara in BalletMet’s The Nutcracker, one of her favorite roles thus far. Among her other favorite ballets performed with the company, she lists Allegro Brillante, Who Cares?, Age of Innocence and Sleeping Beauty.
