Prepare for the 2025/26 BalletMet Season!

Welcome to BalletMet’s 2025/26 Season!

Our 48th season is the first to be programmed by Artistic Director, Remi Wörtmeyer, and it is bringing several ballets that have never seen the Columbus Stage.

REMI REMI REMI

October 17 – 25

Three ballets from Remi Wörtmeyer make their North American premieres! Dynamic and thought-provoking, Miroirs and Concerto Mondrian have played to great acclaim around the world. Paired with Rite of Spring – a world premiere in which Stravinsky collides with street art by Columbus’s own Lance Johnson – and you’re in for a delectable sampling flight of what’s to come from BalletMet’s new artistic director.

THE NUTCRACKER

December 11 – 28

Step into a world of holiday magic with our timeless production of The Nutcracker. This beloved classic takes the audience on a whimsical journey with Clara, the Nutcracker Prince, and a host of enchanting characters. For generations, families have made this heartwarming ballet a cherished tradition. Don’t miss the chance to experience the joy of The Nutcracker with your loved ones this holiday season!

And who can forget My First Nutcracker? This season, there are two options to choose from to experience this sensory-friendly version of The Nutcracker.

PETER PAN

February 13 – 15

Trey McIntyre’s Peter Pan soars to thrilling new heights. Featuring stunning sets and costumes by Emma Bailey, known for her work on Broadway’s SIX, the production blends punk energy and glam style to create a Neverland unlike any other. With daring choreography and a rebellious edge, this adventurous take on the classic tale demands audiences embrace their inner child, believe in magic and never grow up!

FOR THE LOVE OF DANCE!

MARCH 20 – 28

Experience the vibrant energy of a bold new triple bill featuring a fresh creation from Company dancer and local choreographer Leiland Charles alongside Juanjo Arquez’s fiery creation, Ignite, and Alexei Ratmansky’s lyrical and intimate Seven Sonatas. With innovative movement and powerful storytelling, this performance will captivate and inspire.

LA BOHÈME

MAY 8 – 16

Doomed love makes for glorious dance in Remi Wörtmeyer’s reimagining of La Bohème – his first full-length creation as BalletMet Artistic Director. Puccini’s beloved opera about art, passion and poverty in 19th-century Paris is relocated to America’s own bohemian heartland: the French quarter of New Orleans. Mardi Gras comes to Columbus with evocative puppetry and blistering choreography in this story of loss, friendship and l’amour.
