BalletMet Dance Academy offers hundreds of classes each year for all ages.
Ranked among the nation’s largest studios associated with a professional company, BalletMet Dance Academy offers hundreds of classes each year for students ages 3 to 95. We boast state-of-the-art studios, faculty members who have danced with companies around the world and live musical accompaniment in most ballet classes. Daryl Kamer founded the academy in 1974, but it didn’t become BalletMet Dance Academy until after the professional company was officially formed in 1978. Since BalletMet’s move to a 35,000 square-foot dance campus in Downtown Columbus in 1990, the company and academy have both become recognized as institutions of local and national stature.

Where do I pick-up and drop-off my student?

Do you have a Recital or Performance?
We have our annual Spring Performance in late-May/early June at the Davidson Theatre for Levels 1-Trainee. We also have our Performance Ensemble in Level 4-7/8 comprised of students that perform three times a year.
My student has danced before at another studio but wishes to attend BalletMet Academy. What is the process?

Who may audition for Nutcracker?
Students who are in Ballet Level 2 and up and are age 8 by September 30, 2025 are eligible to audition for a part in The Nutcracker.
Do I need to order a leotard?
Yes. Please visit Opening Night in Gahanna or Dublin to purchase your uniform and use this coupon!
