5 reasons not to miss the 2015 Nutcracker Ball

BalletMet’s first-ever Nutcracker Ball was in 1983. Its purpose? To kick off the holidays with a bit of grandeur and merrymaking.

This year will be no different, as we host the annual event on Dec. 12 at L Brands World Headquarters. Without giving too much away, here are a few reasons we know you’ll enjoy this convivial evening:

You’ll meet and mingle with community business and creative leaders. The Nutcracker Ball draws attendees from Columbus’ arts, business (and beyond) communities. It’s a chance to network, socialize and entertain clients in a magical setting.

It brings The Nutcracker to life. The event will evoke one of the snowiest scenes from our Nutcracker ballet. Everything, from the food to the décor and back, will reflect that wonderfully white setting.

It’s a chance to dress with some panache. The Nutcracker Ball is a black-tie affair. Ladies will be in fabulous gowns, and gentlemen will wear tuxes (often finished with a festive bowtie).

You may just win some free jewelry. The Diamond Cellar will be giving away some of its beautiful jewels during the VIP reception.

It’s our largest fundraising event of the year. This means it very directly helps support our mission to celebrate dance through performances, instruction, education and creation.
