Accompanist

Helen Kushnir was born in the Soviet Union and graduated from Music Conservatory in Russia with a Masters Degree. During her study she had 3-4 public performances a year. After graduation she worked for the Music College as a piano teacher and accompanist. Helen had several performances every year. She worked frequently as an accompanist working with singers and choirs. When she came to the USA, she jointed BalletMet as an accompanist and has work for the organization for 21 years playing for all levels of classes including Company class. Also, she is playing for Ohio Dance Festivals. Mrs. Kushnir has played for several Dance schools around Columbus, OH, Denison University, OSU, and Jewish Choir. Helen also works as an accompanist for the Education Department at BalletMet. She enjoys playing for the young children and delighted to share her experience of movement and music.
