Born and raised in Argentina, Luciana Ravizzi began her classical ballet training at a young age. In 1994, she enrolled in the Higher Institute of Art of the Teatro Colón (ISA), where she studied under some of South America’s most esteemed ballet instructors. During her time at ISA, she was honored with the opportunity to perform alongside the Ballet Company of Teatro Colón.
At 16, Ravizzi was awarded a scholarship to attend the Royal Ballet School in London, where she studied at the Upper School for three years and graduated with a diploma in Classical Dance. She performed with the Royal Ballet Company in various productions, including an international tour to Australia featuring Swan Lake and Giselle.
Ravizzi joined the Scottish Ballet, where she spent the majority of her professional career. She performed soloist and principal roles in a diverse repertoire of classical and contemporary works, including Romeo and Juliet by Krzysztof Pastor, The Nutcracker and Sleeping Beauty by Ashley Page, Workwithinwork by William Forsythe, Song of the Earth and Elite Syncopations by Kenneth MacMillan, Scènes de ballet by Frederick Ashton, and 5 Tangos by Hans Van Manen.
Following her retirement from the stage, Ravizzi returned to Argentina to establish her own ballet studio. She has since served as a guest teacher at numerous ballet schools and companies, sharing her expertise and passion for dance with aspiring artists around the world.
