Welcome to the National Summer Intensive Audition Tour!
The National Summer Intensive Audition Tour (NSIA) is a collective of professional ballet schools that was forged to provide young dancers with the opportunity to audition for multiple national level summer programs with a single audition class. Each school in the collective offers in-person auditions at their facilities, and students who attend the National Summer Intensive Audition are considered by all schools in the collective for acceptance to their summer intensives.
How it works:
Students choose a city from the audition schedule and register with the host school. The audition is in-person, and the remaining schools will observe the audition either virtually or in person. The auditions will be recorded so the observing schools may review the auditions if needed. Students will have the opportunity to select which schools they would like to audition for, however, all schools in the collective may reach out to any students who audition. Students must pre-register and pay the registration fee directly to the host school in the city where they audition. The secondary registration form must be completed in order to be considered by observing schools. Students are required to follow the safety protocols of the school at which they audition.
What if?
In the event a school is unable to hold its in-studio audition due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances, registered students may send in an audition video. This option is exclusive to students who are registered for an in-person NSIA audition that has been canceled due to unforeseen circumstances, and will not be offered to additional students or those pre-registered students who decide not to attend the in-person audition prior to any cancellation announcements. Please note NSIA auditions have limited capacity. NSIA auditions fees are non-refundable and non-transferable between audition sites.
What to wear:
Participants are encouraged to wear colored leotards with a mid to high back.
Registration will open December 2. Visit the NSIA website for more information and the registration link.
