Colleen Cintrón-Rivelli

Colleen Cintrón-Rivelli is a dancer, choreographer and dance educator. Mrs. Cintron-Rivelli received her BFA from the Conservatory of Dance at Purchase College and MA as a Lincoln Center Scholar from Hunter College Arnhold Graduate Dance Education Program. She has performed the repertories of Mark Morris, Doug Varone and worked with Pedro Ruiz, Enzo Celli, Nancy Bannon, Faye Driscoll and many other independent choreographers. She has participated in a US government-sponsored tour of Kosovo as a dance ambassador, and was a teaching artist in Accra, Ghana. Her most recent position was as Dance Educator at PS/IS 178 The Holliswood School in Queens, NY. She taught preK-8th grade dance classes and founded the Holliswood Dance Company. At Holliswood she lead the arts department which included dance, theater, visual art and technology. She frequently collaborated with parents, teachers, school administrators and community programs on curricula and community events for families. As the Equity and Diversity team leader, she strived to create a climate of respect and support for students and teachers while implementing culturally responsive curriculum. She has recently relocated to Columbus, Ohio and is thrilled to be working with BalletMet.
