Dance Access and Education Programs
There are a variety of opportunities to experience and learn the art of dance through our community access and education programs. Free classes, complimentary tickets and student scholarships are all a part of our continuing commitment to promote the benefits of dance in our community.
KidTix
BalletMet’s KidTix program provides complimentary tickets for BalletMet’s season performances to underserved youth, marginalized populations and individuals with disabilities who would otherwise not be able to attend.
During its season, BalletMet offers a specific, limited number of free performance tickets to recipients who apply through area non-profit social service agencies, youth service organizations and faith-based groups.
In order to be considered for a KidTix partnership for the upcoming season, your organization must meet the following requirements:
• Must be classified as a nonprofit organization with 501c3 status.
• Must offer social services to children and families from underserved populations and/or people with disabilities. This can include housing, foster care, counseling, mentoring, intervention, and community programming.
• Schools are not eligible to participate; however, after-school groups may qualify based on nonprofit status and types of services offered.

BalletMet Dance Academy scholarship program offers students in the Central Ohio area opportunities for quality dance education and training. Scholarships require an audition and are renewed annually based upon review of criteria.

Soar on Saturdays
Soar on Saturdays is a dance access program created in partnership with The King Arts Complex. It is aimed to give young students ages 8-12 the opportunity to explore movement over the course of a free six-week dance class. Four different six-week sessions will be offered throughout the academic year, each featuring a unique style of dance. Classes meet once a week.
