Jessica Brown

JESSICA BROWN, 2017 Emmy winner of Television Arts and Sciences, received her training at American Dance Center under instruction from Paula Weber, Professor of Dance at the University of Missouri Kansas City. She joined the BalletMet Trainee program in 2005 and has worked through the years to become a Principal Leading Artist. She is a certified GYROTONIC® INSTRUCTOR in the GYROTONIC® METHOD AND EXPANSION SYSTEM® At GYROTONIC® Columbus North.

Ms. Brown’s roles have included the principal female role in Carousel, Fool’s Paradise, Interplay, Principal Couple in George Balanchine’s Symphony in C  Movements 1 and 3, Jumping Girl in Who Cares?, Waltz Girl in Serenade, Principal Couple in Square Dance, Cinderella, Clara in the Nutcracker and Blue Bird pas de deux in The Sleeping Beauty, Lucy in Dracula, Tiger Lily in Peter Pan and Symphonic Dances.

She has enjoyed working with many choreographers and stagers of the Balanchine Trust, Jerome Robbins foundation, Christopher Wheeldon, Annabelle Lopez Ochoa, Andi Schermoly, Michael Pink, Jimmy Orrante, Attila Bongar, Kristopher Estes-Brown, James Kudelka, David Nixon, Leiland Charles, Stanton Welch, Gustavo Ramirez Sansano, Dwight Rhoden, and Amy Seiwert.

Ms. Brown had the honor of  traveling to dance with BalletMet in the Moscow International Contemporary Dance Festival in Russia, The Joyce Theater in NY and performed Edwaard Liang’s Vicissitude at the National Choreographer’s Initiative for their 10th anniversary in CA. She loves helping organize and performing with charity organizations including The Benefit Columbus and Project Concept Zero Dance in KC.
