Sneak peek: What you’ll eat, hear and see at A Night at the Barre

A Night at the Barre

BalletMet’s first-ever A Night at the Barre is just around the corner.

Held on Friday, April 15, from 7 to 11 p.m., this fabulous event, happening right here in our studios, will feature food, drinks, music and more.

Come kick back with our company dancers and staff while supporting our mission of engaging the community through quality performances, exceptional instruction, educational programs and the creation of new work.

To whet your appetite, we’re bringing you a sneak peek at the incredible food, auction items and ambiance in store at A Night at the Barre.

Local eateries involved include Two Caterers, The Refectory, Cameron Mitchell and plenty more.

Local Roots will be serving up delicious lobster mac and cheese; Yabos Tacos will offer a taco bar; and Dublin Cake Cottage will have four different types of cake for you to taste test (because one type of cake is never enough).

Of course, we’ll have an open bar, a signature cocktail and a welcome “Opening Act” shot (citrus vodka, Hpnotiq, blue curacao and fresh lemon juice).

Live and silent auction items range from exotic beach getaways to tickets to an OSU basketball game and experiences with BalletMet staff and dancers. One of last year’s winners, Cheryl Roller, took home a Wine and Pairings party hosted by Pamela Hutchinson and company dancers Adrienne Benz and Gabriel Gaffney Smith.

“It was such a fun time,” she said. “Pamela, Adrienne and Gabriel were wonderful hosts. We enjoyed the fabulous wines and Pamela’s gourmet treats, and the camaraderie was absolutely wonderful.”

This year, you’ll be able to bid on tickets to the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, a Blue Jackets suite for you and 17 of your friends or a special dinner at the Pizzuti Collection. We’ll also have a wine and bourbon raffle.

DJ Charles Erickson will be spinning throughout the night. You may recognize his name from The Clampdown, a monthly rock dance party, which he founded. Or motive., a networking event for creatives. He’s sure to keep you moving.
