Annie Grace Wilson was born and raised in Manhattan, New York, and Greenwich, Connecticut, and grew up immersed in the arts. At age eleven, Annie began her foundational training with former San Francisco Ballet dancer and American Ballet Theatre soloist, Christina Fagundes, with whom she trained with for several years. Annie then attended Ballet Academy East in Manhattan for two years under the artistic guidance and tutelage of Darla Hoover. There, she had many performing opportunities, including but not limited to, soloist roles in the 2018 spring showcase that were choreographed by current director of the Pre-Professional division at Ballet Academy East, Jenna Lavin. Following her time at BAE, Annie continued her training with former American Ballet Theater dancers Jessica Saund, Maxim Beloserkovsky and Irina Dovorenko, and Craig Salstein. In addition to her year-round training, Annie has trained at several summer intensives: three consecutive years at American Ballet Theatre in New York City and one year at Julie Kent’s The Washington Ballet. Annie has also received summer acceptances with partial scholarships to the Royal Ballet, Houston Ballet, Boston Ballet, and Ellison Ballet. Most recently, Annie was invited to perform as a guest artist in Philadelphia Ballet’s 2022 spring season productions of Swan Lake and Balanchine Program by artistic director, Angel Corella. This will be Annie’s first year with BalletMet 2, and she is excited to continue her professional career.
