Claire Wessells
CLAIRE WESSELLS began her training as a student with the BalletMet Academy in 2015. In 2023, at age 15, she joined the trainee program under the direction of Maria Torija, where she performed in roles including Kitri in Don Quixote and First Violin Principal in George Balanchine’s Concerto Barocco. As a trainee, Claire performed alongside the company in Gerard Charles’s The Nutcracker and Edwaard Liang’s Alice and Romeo and Juliet. In 2023, she was awarded first place at the YAGP Pittsburgh Semi-Finals and was selected as one of the 12 female junior semi-finalists at USAIBC in Jackson, Mississippi.
Ms. Wessells attended the prestigious Royal Danish Ballet Summer School in Copenhagen during the Summer of 2024 and is excited to begin her professional career with BalletMet 2 for the 2024/25 season!
