ISAAC ORRANTE was born in Columbus, Ohio and began dancing at the age of 7 with BalletMet Dance Academy. During his time with the school and Trainee program, he had the opportunity to share the stage with BalletMet’s professional company in Gerard Charles’ The Nutcracker, Michael Pink’s Peter Pan, Edwaard Liang’s Giselle, and Jimmy Orrante’s The Great Gatsby. Additionally, he trained at New Albany Ballet Company where he performed in The Sleeping Beauty, Little Mermaid, Cinderella, and The Nutcracker.
He also received NABC’s inaugural Male Mentorship Scholarship in order to mentor young male dancers throughout their early dance training. At the age of 17 Isaac graduated early and was accepted to Butler University’s Dance Program on full scholarship where he performed in original works by Jennifer Archibald, Derek Reid and Ramon Flowers.
This year Isaac is returning to BalletMet where he is excited to continue his training and to perform with BalletMet 2.
